To maintain its soft, yet springy ride, the Escalante 1.5 continues to use the same Altra Ego midsole found on the previous model. With a zero drop platform, the Altra Escalante 1.5 encourages more of a midfoot or forefoot strike, making it a great option for anyone attempting to transition from heel striking. Finally, this model's foot-shaped toe box allows the toes to splay creating more stability at toe-off so you can get the most out of each stride.
